Swatches and First Impressions - Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit Gleam

This is not the first blog post to talk about the Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kits and it definitely will not be the last. But when I went home last weekend and sat down with my family to open my birthday pressies, I lifted the magnetic lid off a big white Beauty Bay gift box to find this highlighter quad amongst the tissue paper. I've been eyeing this palette since it was released but never took the purchase plunge. I'm chuffed to bits my amazing sister knows me so well and went for the kit in 'Gleam' which is the perfect colour way for summer. I immediately swatched the different colours on my fingers and on my arm and honestly it took two swipes to create the brightest, pigmented highlight. I'm in love.
Crushed Pearl - exactly what it says on the tin. This is a gorgeous silvery/pearlescent highlight that I will use day to day, build on an evening for serious strobing and all year round. I don't think you can go wrong with this shade.

Mimosa - Roll on Ibiizaaaaaaa. Once I have a tan this is going to be gorgeous and will for sure be my go to summer highlighter. Bronzed babe here I come.

Starburst - this pink toned highlight would a great blush topper but again I'm really excited to use it once I have a tan on the apple of my cheeks for a serious glow make up look.

Hard Candy - this is the one I'll probably use the least which is a shame because it has this really cool multi-colour effect when it's swatch but it's a little duller than the others. Like Starburst I think it would a great blush topper but it's not sparkly enough for me to be a mega highlighter. I might eat my words the more I play with them but that's where I'm at for now.

In the UK you can get a selection of the Anastasia Beverly Hills make up range on Beauty Bay instead of buying off the official American site and get it that bit quicker for less of a postage cost.

Are you thinking of buying this palette? Have I convinced you? Do you already have it and have some tips for me on how to wear the different shades? How do you wear yours?
