Drugstore Dupes to High End Brow Products

I have been using Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Kit for the last two years and a over week ago I lost it. After a pretty big tantrum and a day with black eyeliner brows - what a nightmare - I decided instead of running straight out to replace it with another high end brow product, I'd do a little experiment. I went to Superdrug and hunted out the drugstore alternatives to the expensive products we love and gave them a chance to wow me. I have 3 powder and gel combo products and one pencil to try so here you go ; 4 brow product reviews and I've tried to use them in different ways to cater for peoples different styles.

Maybeline Master Shape Brow Pencil - Deep Brown £2.99
Double Ended Pencil and Spooley

I used to use the Rimmel Dark Brown Eyebrow pencil years ago and it was a flat, block pencil that didnt give any dimension to your brows. This Maybelline Master Shape Pencil is wax based so it separates and defines the hair as you create your style. It isn't as pigmented as other brow products because of this so I have been using it in combination with the powder in the Maybeline Master Brow Pro Palette.

Maybeline Master Brow Pro Palette - Deep Brown £6.99
Wax, Powder and Highlighter
This is the ashiest dark brown of the four products and the one I go to most often at the moment. This is the best colour match for my brows so its the one I tend to create the bolder, larger brow look with so they don't look odd and orangey brown. If I have heavy brows I only wear mascara, highlight and maybe a light crease eyeshadow for definition for a day look. Don't go heavy on the eyeliner, eyelashes or smokey eyes.

Barry M Shape and Define Brow Kit - Medium to Dark £5.99
Wax, Powder and Highlight
I am loving these trio Brow Kits with highlighter included because I am so lazy doing my make up every day that I never reach for a seperate highlighting product after i've done my brows. The packaging is a cardboard, magentic close with a mirror on the inside which I love for a drugstore product and you also get a mini double ended brush and a pair of mini tweezers. The powder is really pigmented so I went for a thinner eyebrow and added more shadow and a black eyeliner.

Rimmel "Brow this Way" Brow Sculpting Kit £3.99
Wax and Powder
The wax in this kit is really soft and the powder very malleable but its a bit orange for me. I've been using it as a more natural/lighter product because if I put too much on I have pumpkin brows. I don't know if the camera is picking up how light this is but I did a gentler arch and not as sharp a shape.

The tiny brushes you get with all 3 Brow Kits are a nightmare  so I would definitely suggest buying a full size angled brush and act first I found it tricky to get used to using wax and powder and it took longer than it usually would but I think a lot of this was down to the brush. The powders are all quite loose which is great because you get plenty of product but it can get a bit messy - keep a cotton bud to hand!

Honestly I would recommend any of these four products - especially considering the price - and all four of these will now sit in my brow box and used interchangeably for everyday brows.

Four out four - no duds!

What are your favourite Brow Products? If you use High End will you think about trying any of these Drugstore? Let me know, and until next time - Take Heart.
