Self-Injury Awareness Day - My Story

Self-Injury Awareness Day on March 1st, is about raising awareness for all variations of self-harm and encourage people to speak out about their experiences so that we can continue to breakdown stereotypes surrounding self-harm.
When we tell the truth - the whole unedited truth - about ourselves it gives the world the opportunity to see us for the very first time. Once someone can see us for who we truly are then they can choose to accept us. Warts and all.

How I'm Fundraising for London Marathon 2017

After standing on the side lines as a spectator and cheering my friends along their London Marathon journeys last year there was not a doubt in my mind I wanted to run it in 2017. Unfortunately the ballot for the London Marathon is notoriously tough and I didn’t get a place. Not one to let a silly little detail like a ballot place stop me, I began to look into running a Gold Bond Charity place and 3 months later here I am well over half way to my total goal.

How I'm Quitting Tech In 2017

Ok slight exaggeration. I'm not quitting tech completely, I am however taking a MASSIVE step back. I've really started to notice how Netflix, social media and the knee jerk scrolling through apps for updates is affecting my peace of mind. I'm struggling to fall asleep at night and when I do its disturbed and disrupted, my attention span is short and I'm comparing myself in a load of different ways to the people I see on social media everyday. It's snook up on me but tech has taken over my life.

Savings Tips For 2017

I have always hated saving. I spent money before I had it and lived beyond my means without even thinking about it. It got to the point where I had thousands of pounds worth of debt in an overdraft, multiple credit cards and the odd store card. I managed to get out of debt and I actually found saving slightly addictive. I don't like it and to be able to stand it I have lots of little gimmicks and tricks to keep me going.
